Ras Al Khaimah: The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) on Sunday revealed that occupancy rates in hotels across the emirate are expected to exceed 80 per cent, over the long Eid Al Adha weekend celebrations.

Haitham Mattar, RAKTDA CEO, said: “We expect to continue seeing a rise in the occupancy rates of the emirate’s hotels during this long weekend, especially for those looking for exceptional value for money, luxury indulgence, as well as experiential adventure attractions such as horse-riding and archery in the Wadi desert.

“The world’s longest zipline — Jebel Jais Flight — is an all-year round attraction on the UAE’s highest mountain, which is 10 degrees cooler than sea level. We have noted increased bookings each weekend throughout summer, and the zipline was booked at full capacity over the Eid Al Fitr public holiday. We are already receiving a similar number of bookings during the Eid Al Adha holiday — possibly up to 250 people per day,” he added.
