Dubai: Meteorologists have warned UAE residents against widespread dust and reduced visibility in some areas.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology cautioned the public that with fresh southeasterly winds causing blowing dust and sand, visibility on roads could drop to less than 2,000 metres from 8:30am to 2pm today, September 4.

Those who go out for outdoor activities are advised to be on the lookout for dusty conditions and reduced visibility, especially if they are in Abu Dhabi and Madinat Zayed, among other areas.

The rest of the day will remain hot and hazy, with clouds expected to appear eastward.

The relative humidity will go up later tonight and early morning the next day, especially in some coastal and internal areas.

The lowest minimum temperature for the day touched 23.4 degrees Celsius in Al Farfar at 6:30am. Over at Jais Mountain, temperatures dropped to their lowest point at 23.6 degrees Celsius, while Al Ruwais and the mountains of Mebreh and Al Heben recorded lowest readings at 26.6 , 25.3 and 26.6 degrees Celsius, respectively.
