Dubai: Rain, mist or fog, haze, and dust are expected in various parts of the country this week.

Humidity levels will increase relatively in the Northern Emirates on Monday with Sharjah and Ajman peaking at 90 per cent, Dubai and Sweihan at 85 per cent and Ras Al Khaimah 80 per cent. The rise in humidity might cause mist or fog in the morning, according to the National Centre of Meteorology’s weather bulletin.

The eastern region near the mountains will have clouds that may bring rain by afternoon.

Much of the country will have hot and hazy weather. Maximum temperature in the northern coastal cities will range between 38C and 39C and in Western Region of Abu Dhabi between 41C and 46C.

Interior regions will be hotter with high 40s, peaking at 46C in Mezeira.

Northwesterly winds in general will affect the country while easterly winds will have a speed of 15km/h to 38km/h.

On Tuesday, coastal areas will remain humid in the morning and hot and hazy during daytime. An increase of up to four degrees Celsius in temperature is expected in some areas. Dubai’s maximum temperature of 39C on Monday is expected to climb to 43C on Tuesday. The mercury will also rise in Sharjah from 40C to 44C on Tuesday.

Ras Al Khaimah might see the highest increase in maximum temperature from 38C on Monday to 45C on Tuesday.

Rain clouds might again form in the eastern parts of the country by afternoon.

Similar conditions may prevail on Wednesday.

The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will be slight to moderate until Wednesday.
