Dubai: Don’t forget to pack your sunscreens if you’re heading out this weekend as forecasters said the UAE will have sunny skies and hot weather in general.

The UAE will be hot in general, partly cloudy and hazy over some areas, with a chance of rain in some parts this weekend.

Temperatures will be 29 degree Celsius to 40C in Dubai, 28C to 41C in Abu Dhabi, 25C to 40C in Sharjah and 29C to 39C in Fujairah on Friday and Saturday.

The mercury is dropping slowly with the lowest temperature recorded in the UAE at 20.2 degrees C in Jebel Jais at 3.15am on Thursday.

Clouds will develop and may turn into rain clouds over the eastern and southern parts of the country by Friday and Saturday afternoon.

Winds will be light to moderate in general but may kick up dust over exposed areas.

Relative humidity will increase by night reaching up to 85 per cent in Abu Dhabi city and extending towards the western coast while Dubai’s maximum humidity may reach 75 per cent on Friday.

Those who would like to spend the weekend on the beach may well do so as Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will be slight to moderate conditions.

Between 6am to 8am, thick fog blanketed an interior area south-west of the UAE, according to weathermen.
