Dubai: Residents awoke to dark clouds on Thursday morning, with a chance of rainfall that seemed more likely than ever.

Local weather forecasters issued a warning at 7am, cautioning residents about rainclouds and strong gusts of northeasterly winds that will bring about very rough seas in the Arabian Gulf.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said that Thursday’s weather will be hazy in general, with a chance of slight rain especially over coasts, islands and northern areas.

Residents can expect a wind speed of up to 38km/h in coastal areas and 40km/h in the mountain region.

Temperatures will range from 19-35 degrees Celsius in coastal areas and 15-25 in mountain areas, with high levels of humidity that will reach up to 95 per cent along the coast.

The weather will remain unstable over the weekend, so until Saturday, don’t forget to keep an umbrella nearby.
