Dubai: Social media users in the UAE were more than delighted to share a carefree video of Dubai’s Ruler taking a few relaxing moments with his son.

The video, which was posted on the Twitter and Instagram accounts of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, received over 172,000 views since it was posted on Monday night.

The photo was accompanied with the caption “Subhan Allah”, which translates into “Praised be God”.

The online video starts with the houbara bird flying from the hands of Shaikh Hamdan, which then lands on his hand.

The endangered bird then flaps its wings and moves towards His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The houbara bustard stands on Shaikh Mohammad’s head calmly and without any caution, as Shaikh Hamdan and others look on with smiles and much appreciation for the little bird’s show of warmth.

Last year, the houbara was in the spotlight after Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nayhan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, posted a video of the bird laying eggs near a construction site.

Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, were walking in the forest area where a project was expected to be built.

They then saw the houbara bird and its eggs, and ordered the project’s location to be moved to another area so that the eggs could hatch.
