Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Friday received President Xi Jinping of China at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.

Upon his arrival, President Xi, who is currently on a state visit to the country, was accorded an official reception where the national anthems of the two countries were played, and a 21-gun salute was fired in honour of the guest.

Following the ceremony, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed accompanied President Xi to the main hall of the palace, where he was welcomed by shaikhs, ministers and senior officials, followed by a presentation by the UAE Honour Guard.

Attending the reception were Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; and a number of shaikhs.
