Abu Dhabi: Lt-General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, on Wednesday launched the Ministry of Interior’s happiness and positivity programme in the presence of Uhoud Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Happiness and Quality of Life and director-general of the Prime Minister’s Office.

Shaikh Saif was briefed about the programme, its themes and its relation to the ministry’s strategic objectives, happiness and positivity enablers, and the key success factors, initiatives, policies and activities included in the programme.

“The launch of the programme comes within the framework of implementing our government’s approaches to bring about happiness and positivity and achieve the pillars of the National Happiness and Positivity Programme for the employees, customers and the entire society. It is also linked to the strategic objectives of the 2017-2021 strategy,” said Colonel Nasser Khadim Al Kaabi, director of the Customer Happiness Department at the Ministry of Interior,

He added that an integrated happiness and positivity programme has been prepared as a general framework for all initiatives, policies and activities that contribute to the achievement of happiness and positivity among employees, customers and society.

The programme was developed based on evidence and studies of the National Happiness and Positivity Programme and the UAE Government Excellence Programme, Al Kaabi noted.

He pointed out that the programme includes a number of initiatives, policies and activities that will be implemented within a specific timetable.
