Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, paid a surprise visit on Thursday to a gathering of employees from the General Secretariat of Dubai Executive Council (DEC), which Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of DEC, was participating in.
A number of activities were organised during the gathering, with the aim of strengthening teamwork and personal ties between the General Secretariat’s employees.
Shaikh Hamdan said that the participation of Shaikh Mohammad in the gathering was the greatest source of motivation for the coming phase, calling the gesture a lesson in leadership.
“Shaikh Mohammad is an inspiring leader, and from him we learn that no challenge is impossible. His ideas and initiatives in leadership light up our path and have become a framework for excellence and creativity,” said Shaikh Hamdan.
“Shaikh Mohammad would not accept anything less than first place, and that is why we are leading worldwide in terms of services and living standards for citizens and residents,” Shaikh Hamdan added.
“I called for this meeting to be held in a non-traditional location and an informal setting to boost relations between employees and help them learn more about one another. Such gatherings support the management in building a cohesive team,” said Shaikh Hamdan.
Shaikh Hamdan joined the work team in a number of activities that aim to boost the employees’ morale and team spirit.
Addressing the employees, Shaikh Hamdan said: “You are my team, a team that I’m very proud of. I believe in your capabilities. There are many challenges before us, but this team will be able to face and overcome them effectively to achieve the vision of Shaikh Mohammad and be ranked first in all indexes,” he said.
