Dubai — Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Judicial Council, Monday laid the foundation stone for the Cassation Court and Smart Parking building project.

The project will be implemented in place of the old parking area near Dubai Courts.

Shaikh Maktoum unveiled a commemorative plaque at the site, and was then briefed about details of the project that will cover an area of 270,000 square feet and is estimated to cost Dh290 million.

The project is expected to be completed in 36 months. More than 47,000 square feet of the project has been allocated for Dubai Courts, and the new Cassation Court building will consist of four halls.

The new Cassation Court complements the UAE leadership’s vision for justice that boost confidence in the legal and judicial systems on a local and international level by quickly settling cases. This will achieve happiness for the people and prosperity for the community.

Shaikh Maktoum was then briefed about the smart parking project, which will offer 1,232 smart parking spaces instead of the 300 spaces at the old site. A total of 950 parking spaces will be made available to the public, while 373 spaces will be allocated for employees. The smart parking project will include 10 entrances and exists.
