Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has signed an agreement with Liberty Automobiles to offer integrated services to customers in Dubai.

The agreement provides a host of integrated vehicle licensing services including registration and testing of vehicles, and the selling of distinctive number plates to clients of auto dealers, an RTA official said.

Liberty Service Centre at Al Rashidiya has been accredited to assist customers with vehicle registration and renewal, and carrying out period tests.

Sultan Al Marzouqi, director of Vehicles Licensing Services, Licensing Agency, RTA, said: “It will enhance vehicles roadworthiness through improving the rate of response to those campaigns. The project will step up the coordination with the Auto Dealer in identifying customers and their vehicles to be recalled through various mass media.”

He pointed out how this will ease as well the difficulties encountered by Liberty in communicating with the concerned clients due to changes in contact numbers, owners or the export of vehicles.

Raymond Hannoush, general manager of Liberty Automobiles Group, said: “We will now be able to supply our clients with comprehensive range of services that include testing and registration of vehicles, selling of number plates, and fixing vehicles that had failed the test. It also enables us to communicate any procedures required by the auto dealer to our concerned clients.”
