Abu Dhabi: Kosovo and the Republic of Moldova have opened their embassies in Abu Dhabi.

President Hashim Thaci of Kosovo inaugurated the new embassy of Kosovo in Abu Dhabi in the presence of Nasser Bin Thani Al Hameli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation. The opening ceremony was attended by Behgjet Pacolli, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Saeed Al Qamzi, Director of Visits Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, as well as a number of heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic corps accredited to the country.

Al Hameli congratulated the Kosovo president on the opening of the new embassy, praising the role of the Kosovo government and its diplomatic mission for their great efforts in promoting bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

President Thaci lauded the relations between the UAE and Kosovo, pointing out that the opening of the new embassy is an important step to develop relations and promote them for the interest of both countries

Republic of Moldova officially opened its embassy in Abu Dhabi last week.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the European Integration of the Republic of Moldova, Tudo Ulianovschi along with Zaki Nussaibeh, Minister of State, officially inaugurated the embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Abu Dhabi. The opening ceremony was attended by a number of officials including Marianna Tataro, Ambassador of Moldova to the UAE.

Ulianovschi praised the bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of Moldova, highlighting the vital role that the newly established embassy plays in strengthening ties and in promoting the two countries in different markets. “This move marks the new phase between the two countries as it eyes to build tourism, investment, trade and economic partnerships in the region,” he added.

Nussaibeh said that the UAE welcomes development of relations with Moldova across all fields. He noted that the opening of the embassy in Abu Dhabi will give the UAE-Moldovan relations a new momentum for the years to come.
