Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, called on the public to vote to choose the best government initiative from eight nominated initiatives.

Shaikh Hamdan said the involvement of customers in the voting process is a priority to measure the success of government services.

On Thursday, Shaikh Hamdan launched the public voting process to choose the best government initiative. Members of the public can register their votes via vote.dtmc.gov.ae. The voting process, a part of the Hamdan Bin Mohammad Programme for Smart Government, will end on December 7.

Shaikh Hamdan stressed the need for the commitment of government agencies to the approach of leadership and innovation.

He called on all members of society to vote for the best government initiative this year, which is characterised by being the most innovative. He stressed that the public’s happiness is the catalyst for upgrading government services and a key pillar to ensure that these services are consistent with the aspirations of the community.

The eight nominated initiatives are the Smart Refund by Dubai Customs; Smart Transport by Roads and Transport Authority (RTA); One Step by Dubai Water and Electricity Authority (Dewa); Female Responder by Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services; Montaji by Dubai Municipality; Dammi by Dubai Health Authority; Dubai Expert by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM); and Airport Community App by Dubai Airports.

Emiratis, residents and visitors alike can vote for the best government initiative.

The winner will be announced at the Hamdan Forum, where the best initiative that attracts the highest percentage of public votes will receive the “Banner of Hamdan Bin Mohammad Smart Government”.
