Dubai: A total of 28 memoranda of understanding (MoU) were signed at the conclusion of the Dubai Future Accelerators Programme.

The ceremony was attended by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the board of trustees of Dubai Future Foundation. Shaikh Hamdan reaffirmed that Dubai, thanks to the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has become a global destination for innovators and innovative companies from all around the world, who come here to work with government institutions and shape the future of vital sectors.

“The UAE today offers a platform that allows global technology companies to test solutions for the future with government institutions. This emphasises Dubai’s leadership in creating the future, and that it is a role model for joint work between different sectors in order to come up with proactive scenarios that boost the ability to foresee and create the future,” said Shaikh Hamdan.

Shaikh Hamdan pointed out that the second edition of the Future Accelerators Programme witnessed a qualitative shift in work to transform Dubai into a global hub for exporting advanced technologies and an ideal platform for learning about prominent future approaches.

The closing ceremony saw the signing of MoUs between different government institutions and organisations with a number of international companies. The second edition of the programme also saw the launch of the Heroes of the Future award that will be awarded to the best three government teams. Participating teams will have to present innovative solutions that offer qualitative additions to the Dubai Future Accelerators Programme. These solutions must also boost efforts for achieving the vision of Shaikh Mohammad in activating strategic partnerships between different sectors.
