Food authority organises inspection campaign ahead of Eid

Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has organised an inspection campaign as part of its preparations for Eid Al Fitr.

The campaign’s target is to ensure food safety during the festival season. Inspections were conducted in confectioneries, pastry shops and bakeries.

The inspectors focused on methods of storage and preparation, and ensuring that health and safety guidelines are being followed in these establishments.

The authority has called on the public to notify it about any observations, complaints or bad practices by calling 800555. They also urged the public to avoid purchasing food items from unlicensed establishments.
