Dubai: Dubai police launched a new initiative for villa owners to secure their houses especially when they travel abroad by installing CCTV camera and movement sensors in coordination with DU and Transguard group, Police said on Wednesday.
Residents can use Dubai Police smart app to enter the home security service and put their details and home location and time of travel so police will send patrols more often on routine base to the house.
However the resident can choose either Du or Transguard to install cameras to secure their home.
The two companies will be linked to Dubai police command room in case anything wrong happen for fast response.
Major-General Khalil Ebrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs of Dubai Police, said this is important step to have safer city and to crackdown villa robberies.
“Thieves will think twice when they know the house has security cameras. Our aim to make everybody feel safe in the emirate,” Maj Gen Al Mansouri said.
