Dubai: Dubai Municipality has announced the closure of the Mangrove Hide at the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary for periodic maintenance.

In the announcement posted on social media, the civic body said the Mangrove Hide, from where most of the migratory birds could be seen, will be closed from September 18 till 22.

Covering 620 hectares, the sanctuary is home to more than 500 species of flora and fauna and the UAE’s first Ramsar Site, a wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention on wetlands,
