Dubai: Alliance Francaise Dubai will hold a series of monthly conferences on climate change and environmental issues with the first event taking place on Tuesday at 8pm as part of Earth Day celebrations.

France was officially appointed host country for the 21st Climate Conference (2015 Paris Climate Conference – COP21) during the 19th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Warsaw.

In Dubai, the French cultural centre will hold local conferences in its Oud Metha office to educate the public on the crucial efforts needed to limit global warming. Speakers from the Emirates Solar Industry Association, Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence, Sustainable City and Mobility Competitiveness Cluster at Advancity will talk about sustainable cities, solar energy, and carbon emissions.
