His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, presented certificates to 507 students from the 37th batch of graduates from UAE University in Al Ain (UAEU). Shaikh Mohammad presented the certificates when he attended the graduation ceremony held yesterday (Wednesday). WAM

Al Ain: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, presented certificates to 507 students of the 37th batch who graduated from UAE University in Al Ain (UAEU).

Shaikh Mohammad presented the certificates when he attended the graduation ceremony held on Wednesday. Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, was present.

The Vice-President congratulated the students and their parents on their graduation, and wished the graduates success in their future endeavours. Shaikh Mohammad described UAEU as a prestigious national university, pointing out that many Emirati youths have graduated from UAEU in the past 37 years, with the graduates eventually holding leading positions in different bodies and institutions in the UAE.

He wished the graduates more success and excellence on their path to occupying high positions and ranks, armed with knowledge and competencies that they can utilise to serve their nation and people, while also competently contributing to the achievement of UAE Vision 2021.

Dr Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, chancellor of UAEU, greeted Shaikh Mohammad and described him as a source of inspiration and innovation. Al Nuaimi said that Shaikh Mohammad’s non-traditional vision represented a cornerstone for the development witnessed by the UAE on different levels, with the nation now occupying an advanced position in global competitiveness.

Al Nuaimi pointed out that through UAEU’s strategic vision that complements the UAE’s National Agenda, the university has set itself a slogan of ‘university of the future’, to boost its knowledge in the field concerning the fourth industrial revolution and advanced sciences.

Also present during the graduation were Shaikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman; Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region; Ahmad Abdullah Humaid Bel Houl Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education and Advanced Skills; parents of the graduates, as well as other shaikhs and officials.
