Two vehicles overturn on Shaikh Zayed Road, causing traffic jam

Dubai: A truck carrying water bottles overturned on Shaikh Zayed Road at the Al Quoz exit on Sunday, blocking all lanes and exit for hours and causing a traffic jam.

Although no one was injured in the accident at 5am, the water bottles falling from the truck blocked the road until the debris was removed at around 7am.

The exit remained closed for another hour until all the debris was cleared.

In a separate incident, a student driver's car overturned near the fourth interchange at Umm Suqueim exit on Shaikh Zayed Road at 9am. The tutor and student survived and did not sustain injuries.
