Zayed University establishes alumni body

Members will work towards further developing UAE female national talent

Dubai: Zayed University has established a Dubai Alumnae Association which will open communication channels between graduates and university students.

The Association, which was launched under the patronage of Shaikha Latifa Bint Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, a graduate in Executive Master of Business Administration from the university will comprise former students who currently work in varied sectors of the country.

The members will work towards further developing UAE female national talent in both their educational and career paths.

The Association emphasis is on sustaining the model of excellence, set as an example by the leaders, and also promoting leadership and entrepreneurial skills in youth.

In this, it is extremely important to strengthen communication channels among students and graduates, which is one of the missions of the alumnae association, Shaikha Latifa said.

Female graduates

The association will also provide programmes for recent graduates which will provide practical training and employment as well as address concerns of female graduates.

[The Association] will introduce specific programmes and strategies to provide graduates with opportunities for practical training and employment, both with public and private sectors and institutions, and will work to keep communication channels open with university graduates in different locations, whether in their academic or professional careers, so they can discuss their concerns and interests .
