Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday presented certificates to 20 outstanding graduates from the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT).

Shaikh Mohammad presented the certificates alongside Mohammad Hassan Omran Al Shamsi, Chancellor of the HCT, during the graduation ceremony held at Dubai Academic City.

Shaikh Mohammad congratulated the students on their achievement, which he said should encourage students to continue working towards more educational accomplishments. He said that being successful is simply not enough, and that such achievements must be accompanied by excellence in order to last forever.

Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, alongside Dr Tayeb Kamali, Vice-Chancellor of HCT, presented certificates to the remaining 447 graduates, among whom were 25 students who graduated from the Khalifa Bin Zayed Air College in Al Ain and Rashid Bin Saeed Naval College.

Shaikh Mohammad launched the e-version of his book, Flashes of Thought, for HCT students, and approved a request for foundation students to be taught the contents of the book. Later, Shaikh Mohammad was presented with a commemorative gift photographed by students from Sharjah’s HCT. He thanked them for this warm gesture and wished them success in their studies to contribute to the UAE’s sustainable development alongside their Emirati brothers.

He also took a commemorative photo with graduates from the Khalifa Bin Zayed Air College and Rashid Bin Saeed Naval College. Shaikh Mohammad urged them to strive towards more educational achievements, and wished them success in the service of their nation.
