Worker jailed for molesting two joggers

Dubai: A Bangladeshi worker has been jailed for six months after a court convicted him on Tuesday of groping two women while they were jogging.

The Dubai Court of First Instance ruled that the 25-year-old worker, MH, would be deported after serving his punishment.

Presiding Judge Al Saeed Mohammad Barghout agreed MH had molested the Chinese women by chasing them while they jogged, and touching their private parts. The crime took place at 8pm.

Tuesday's judgment, which was handed down in absentia, remains subject to appeal within 15 days.

Prosecutors said MH breached the modesty of the joggers VY and XS and molested them.
