Muscat: Government employees in Oman will get a four-day break following the declaration of November 27 and 28 as the National Day holidays.

Khalid Bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and Chairman of the Board of Civil Service, on Monday announced the holiday for civil service employees, who, at the end of last month, got a nine-day break for Eid Al Adha.

The Manpower Ministry said that the private sector will get a three-day break but some private firms observe the Friday-Saturday weekend so will also get four days off.

The Central Bank of Oman is yet to announce National Day holidays for the banking sector.
