Kochi: A single bench of the Kerala High Court on Monday posted the bail application by superstar Dileep for Thursday.

When the application came up before the court, the prosecution said it needed time to study the case, after which the court decided to post it for Thursday.

The trial court had denied bail to the actor on Saturday.

The superstar was arrested last Monday and was remanded to 14 days judicial custody for conspiring in the abduction and molestation of a popular actress, in February in Kochi.

The police on Monday also took statements from two legislators, Congress leader Anwar Sadath who is close friend of Dileep, and Mukesh — a CPM backed legislator.

“I answered all questions that were asked,” said Sadath, who represents Aluva Assembly constituency from where Dileep hails.

Prime accused Pulsar Suni was the personal driver of Mukesh for a year, after which he was removed.

“I was asked about Suni,” said Mukesh.

Suni and his accomplices were arrested a week after the incident.
