The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the 29th Dubai World Cup, set to take place at Meydan Racecourse in Nad Al Sheba on Saturday, April 5.

Motorists are urged to expect traffic congestion in the surrounding areas and plan their journeys in advance.

“To ensure smooth travel during the race, RTA encourages you to plan ahead and check real-time traffic updates via the #Shail app,” the authority said on social media.

To help reduce congestion, RTA strongly recommends the use of public transport. Visitors can enjoy a hassle-free trip aboard public buses running to the venue from 11:00 am, or opt for Dubai’s fleet of taxis available throughout the city.

Free shuttle buses will also operate from Dubai Falcon Hospital to the racecourse.

Getting to Meydan Racecourse

Meydan Racecourse & Grandstand, located in Nad Al Sheba 1, is easily accessible via major highways:

  • From Sheikh Zayed Road (Dubai/Abu Dhabi): Take Exit 47, follow signs to Nad Al Sheba, then turn onto Al Meydan Road (D69).

  • From Al Ain via Dubai-Al Ain Road: Take Exit 7, follow Nad Al Sheba signage, and proceed to Al Meydan Road (D69).

Taxis will drop off and pick up passengers at the Gate B ramp of the Meydan Grandstand.
