Dubai: Motorists in Saudi Arabia can take advantage of a 50 per cent discount on outstanding traffic fines, but they must act quickly to benefit from this offer. Drivers are advised to clear their unpaid fines before April 18, 2025, to secure the discount provided by the Saudi General Department of Traffic.

The discount applies to violations committed before April 18, 2024, giving motorists the opportunity to reduce their financial burden. Drivers can choose to pay the full discounted amount in one go or settle each violation individually. After the deadline, fines will revert to their original amounts.

To pay your fines, you can use the SADAD payment system, an online platform for bills, government service fees, and fines. Alternatively, payments can be made through the National Violations Platform (Efaa).

Important conditions

According to Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior (MOI), committing certain violations during the reduction period will disqualify offenders from the discount. These violations include:

  • Exceeding the speed limit by over 50 km/h on roads with a 120 km/h limit

  • Exceeding the speed limit by over 30 km/h on roads with a 140 km/h limit
