The 10th anniversary of Cityscape Abu Dhabi is set against the backdrop of a marked slowdown in the UAE real estate market, which experts believe should be seen as a minor correction as opposed to a major crash. The show returns to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from tomorrow to Thursday, bringing with it local, regional and international exhibitors and high-profile speakers. It will prove that the current shift is a sign of the real estate market maturing and that opportunities still exist for real estate development and investment focusing on end-user demand.

Why you should be at Cityscape Abu Dhabi

This year’s event features the Cityscape Abu Dhabi Market Overview, where speakers debate the effect of the recently implemented Regulation of Real Estate Sector in Abu Dhabi (Property Law No. 3) on financing and mortgage enforcement, as well as the impact of the oil prices on the market and its future growth.

Regional and international property developers are preparing to sell residential, retail, hospitality, mixed-use and commercial units at Cityscape Abu Dhabi, including projects at Al Maryah Island (Mubadala Real Estate and Infrastructure), Park View on Saadiyat Island and Stella Maris Tower in Dubai Marina (Bloom Properties).

Organiser speak

“Cityscape Abu Dhabi 2016 marks the 10th anniversary of the event, and to celebrate it, our much-anticipated Abu Dhabi Market Overview conference, held in partnership with JLL on the opening day of the event is planned as an even larger and more high-profile meeting point for the industry this year.

“We are expecting hundreds of delegates to attend this year, giving them a much-anticipated full update on the latest trends, challenges, opportunities and the new real estate laws that have taken effect in January this year. We’ll also have more properties for sale on the exhibition floor than ever before, giving investors the opportunity to buy directly from developers.”
