Ram Kapoor’s dramatic 55 kg weight loss in 2024 wasn’t just about personal transformation—it was a family affair, said his wife Gautami in a recent interview.

Reports claim it was their daughter, Siya, who set the wheels in motion. “She started her weight loss journey before Ram and I think that motivated him deeply,” she said, adding that both father and daughter were so determined, “they were almost starving themselves.”

Gautami added that Ram took “extreme steps” to reclaim his health, including 24- and even 48-hour fasts.

“He’s done some crazy stuff,” she said, crediting the family’s collective discipline—cutting out social events and takeout—as a major factor in his success.

Earlier, Ram clarified that he achieved his transformation the old-fashioned way, without surgeries or weight loss drugs:

“It was a complete mental and physical reset.” Today, at 85 kg, the actor says he feels like his 25-year-old self—strong, energetic, and emotionally empowered.

But how did he lose all that weight?

Ram Kapoor's remarkable 55 kg weight loss journey was reportedly driven by a combination of lifestyle changes, dietary discipline, and family motivation.

1. Intermittent fasting:
Kapoor adopted a strict intermittent fasting regimen, consuming only two meals daily—one between 10:30–11 am and another around 6:30 PM. He eliminated snacking and refrained from eating after sunset, allowing only water, tea, or coffee during fasting periods.

2. Rigorous exercise routine:
His daily fitness regimen included 45 minutes of cardio followed by 45 minutes of strength training. This balanced approach helped him burn fat and build muscle, contributing significantly to his transformation.

3. Dietary overhaul:
Kapoor made substantial dietary changes, cutting out dairy, oil, most carbohydrates, sugar, and meat. He focused on consuming natural, whole foods to support his weight loss and overall health.

4. Lifestyle modifications:
Beyond diet and exercise, Kapoor emphasized the importance of adequate sleep, hydration, and overall lifestyle adjustments. He viewed his transformation as a holistic process, aiming for a complete mental and physical reset.

5. Family inspiration:
A significant motivator in Kapoor's journey was his daughter, Siya, who embarked on her own weight loss journey, shedding 38 kg. Her determination inspired Kapoor to pursue his health goals with renewed vigor.
