Indian matinee idols expressed his deepest sadness at the lives lost in the tragedy
Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have condemned the attack in Pahalgam, calling it an inhumane act of violence.
Expressing his condolences, Shah Rukh said, “Words fail to express the sadness and anger at the treachery and inhumane act of violence that has occurred in Pahalgam. In times like these, one can only turn to God and say a prayer for the families that suffered.” He added that the nation must stand united and seek justice for the victims.
Salman Khan in a tweet also said that his heart went out to the families who lost their loved ones in the attack.
"Kashmir, heaven on planet earth turning into hell. Innocent people being targeted, my heart goes out to their families. Ek bhi innocent ko marna puri kainath ko marne ke barabar hai," he said. The last sentence in Hindi roughly translates to "killing one innocent person is equal to killing a universe."
Akshay Kumar expressed his horror, calling the attack "sheer evil" and extended prayers to the victims' families.
Other celebrities, including Anushka Sharma, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Sanjay Dutt, Farhan Akhtar, Allu Arjun, and Ram Charan, have also expressed their condolences and called for justice.
