Dubai: Empower will provide 3,900 regirigeration tonnes (RT) of district cooling to Wasl Tower, a 300m, 64-floor mixed use tower on Shaikh Zayed Road, Dubai, due to be delivered by 2020.
The tower will be connected to Emppower’s district cooling plant at Business Bay via a tunnel under Shaikh Zayed Road. Work has already begun, Empower said in a statement, and will be completed by the last quarter of 2019.
Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, said, “Adding Wasl to our portfolio reflects the confidence of real estate developers and customers in our reliable services. It also enhances Empower’s role in delivering quality cooling services that use up to 50 per cent less energy than conventional cooling systems.”
