Emirates airline said it will be operating a one-off A380 service to Muscat International Airport on July 1, to mark the carrier’s 25th year of service to Oman.

The one-off flight by the world’s largest commercial passenger aircraft also reaffirms the newly-opened airport’s ability to handle A380 operations, Emirates said. The new passenger terminal at Muscat International opened its doors in March this year.

Emirates inaugurated its first service to Muscat in 1993 and has since carried over 4.3 million passengers to and from Oman.
