UAE set for packed September agenda of major events and exhibitions

The UAE is preparing for a busy September, with a packed calendar of exhibitions, conferences and cultural events taking place across Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The events will cover sectors including energy, healthcare, tourism, education, technology, finance, real estate, industry and cybersecurity, alongside major heritage and cultural activities.

According to the Tourism and Travel Economic Report, spending by international and domestic tourists on business tourism in the UAE increased by 8.8% last year to DHS 44.5 billion and is projected to reach DHS 55.6 billion by 2036.

Major events in Abu Dhabi

At ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) will run from August 28 to September 6, celebrating Emirati heritage, falconry, equestrian activities and sustainable hunting.

The Waad Al Raqi Exhibition will follow from September 4 to 8, bringing together local and international fashion designers, while the Middle East Film & Comic Con will take place from September 11 to 13.

The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair will run from September 13 to 18, featuring writers, speakers and cultural sessions while supporting cooperation between publishers and creative industries.

The Sheikh Zayed Book Award will be presented on September 16, recognising writers, thinkers, translators, publishers and cultural figures for their contributions to literary, cultural and social life.

The Schneider Innovation Conference Middle East & Africa will take place from September 15 to 16, followed by the Ajban Exhibition for Defence Industry and Technology on September 21 and 22.

Education and global conferences

The Education Interface Exhibition will be held on September 22 and 23, bringing together educational institutions and experts to highlight academic programmes and skills linked to changing labour market needs.

The Tayeb Al Hazm Exhibition will run from September 25 to October 5, while the 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice will take place from September 26 to October 1.

LifeX will then run from September 29 to October 1, highlighting quality of life, investment and development across areas including healthcare, mobility and education.

Busy calendar in Dubai

Dubai will also host a series of major events throughout September.

Middle East Energy Dubai will run from September 1 to 3, followed by the International Property Show and AIM Congress from September 7 to 9.

Dubai Derma will take place from September 8 to 10, followed by Crypto Expo on September 9 and 10.

Arabian Travel Market will return from September 14 to 17, while GISEC will run from September 16 to 18.

Later in the month, Forex Expo, Seamless Middle East, MEIDAM and Vision – The UAE Career Exhibition will take place, alongside the Middle East Coatings Show.

September will conclude with GOTECH running from September 29 to October 1 and the AWS Summit on September 30, bringing another busy month of international events in the UAE to a close.
