UAE names Al Mulla to ICSID

Baker McKenzie chief’s term will be for six years

The Government of the UAE has designated Dr Habib Al Mulla, Baker McKenzie Habib Al Mulla’s executive chairman in the UAE and Chairman of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre’s Board of Trustees, to serve on the panel of arbitrators maintained by the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).

One of the five organisations of the World Bank Group, ICSID is an autonomous international arbitration institution providing facilities for conciliation and arbitration of international investment disputes. Al Mulla’s appointment is for a period of six years extending through March 12, 2024.
