Dubai: Yas Waterworld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi will launch its highly anticipated expansion on July 1, adding more than 20 new rides, slides, and experiences across a new themed zone called the “Lost City”.

Developed by Miral, the new area spans 13,445 sqm, boosting the park’s total offerings to over 60 attractions — the most in its history. Signature additions include Al Falaj Race, the region’s first side-by-side dueling tube raft ride, and Bahamut’s Rage, a high-thrill log flume adventure.

Families and young visitors can explore a new range of rides like:

  • Al Mafras – a desert-themed water slide with twists and splash landings

  • Red Dunes – a closed aqua tube for high-speed thrills

  • Al Sahel Junior – the region’s first mini zero-gravity boomerango

  • Dawwama Junior – a child-friendly version of the park’s tornado slide

  • Bandit’s Playground – an interactive splash zone inside the new Bandit’s Village

Other additions like Mataha Madness and Sadaf Swirl add puzzle-like twists and whirlpool effects to the experience, while the “Lost City” theme continues the park’s original story, ‘The Legend of the Lost Pearl’, now reimagined with hidden treasures and secret passageways.

“These new rides transform water-based entertainment in the region,” said Dr. Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral. “They support our goal of positioning Yas Island as a world-class entertainment and tourism destination.”

The expanded park not only enhances leisure offerings in Abu Dhabi but also strengthens Yas Island’s role in driving family tourism and economic diversification for the UAE capital.

With the July 1 launch, Yas Waterworld is set to offer more splash-filled adventures than ever before — just in time for summer.
