RAK visitor numbers up 7% in first seven months

Number of German visitors increases 65% while that of Britons rises 32.2%

Dubai: Visitor numbers to the UAE’s most northern emirate, Ras Al Khaimah, grew by 7 per cent in the first seven months of the year, the emirate’s tourism authority said on Wednesday.

The number of German visitors to the emirate in the seven months to July 31 grew by 65 per cent while that of British visitors rose 33.2 per cent, according to a Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority statement.

The statement did not say how many tourists visited the emirate.
