Motorists urged to avoid Dubai Tour route

Dubai: As Dubai Tour heads into its last day, authorities are making efforts to ensure smooth movement of cyclists as well as traffic along the route.

Motorists have been urged to avoid roads the Dubai Tour will pass through to ensure there are no delays.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is coordinating with Dubai Police and the organisers of Tour Dubai to ensure routes are clear for cyclists as well as traffic movement.

Director of Traffic in RTA’s Traffic and Roads Agency, Hussain Al Banna, said there could be possible delays and traffic could slow down on Dubai Tour routes.

“We advise motorists to see which routes will be affected and try to use alternative routes,” Al Banna said.
