Dubai: Ajman saw its hotel guests increase by 14 per cent in the first half of 2018, compared to the same period last year, according to a statement released on Sunday.

Ajman’s tourism board said that this 14 per cent growth in guest numbers had been supported by increasing efforts to promote the emirate. It added that Ajman had found success in diversifying its tourist markets, reflected in the five per cent increase in its hotel occupancy rate.

Ajman’s total revenue from the tourism and hospitality sector was Dh242 million as compared to Dh228 million in the same period last year, an increase of 6 per cent.
