Abu Dhabi Duty Free yesterday launched its Big Ticket Prize Draw, at Arabian Travel Market 2005 in Dubai.

The Big Ticket is the re-launch of Abu Dhabi Duty Free's (ADDF) present raffle scheme. One raffle ticket gives buyers a chance to win one of ten prizes worth Dh1.5 million.

ADDF is also exhibiting alongside Abu Dhabi Civil Aviation at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), with the objective of promoting tourism .

"ADDF and the Department of Civil Aviation-Abu Dhabi have always played an active and important role in promoting Abu Dhabi as a tourist destination," said Mohammad Mounib, managing director of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Duty Free and Catering.

"Our business makes us the gateway to the capital along with the national carrier, Etihad Airways, and our role will be to represent Abu Dhabi within the main stand of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority," Mounib said.

"ADDF with its participation in this year's ATM has made a strategic decision to announce the re-launch of the raffle programme. The exhibition provides a perfect platform for us to reveal our business development plans within our industry," he said.

ADDF aims to enhance its shopping schemes and incentives through the raffle programme for the passengers, tourists and visitors passing through its duty free shops each day, he said.

"About 5.2 million passengers travelled through our airport in 2004. Given the expected expansion plan, this number will most likely rise," Mounib said.

During ATM, all visitors to the ADDF stand can obtain more information about the Big Ticket. Those who can correctly answer questions as part of an interactive competition will win prizes.
