Sharjah: Sharjah has officially launched its much-anticipated 2025 edition of Sharjah Summer Promotions, promising an unforgettable season of shopping, entertainment, and family experiences across all corners of the emirate.

Running until September 1, this year’s campaign is themed “Exceptional Offers for an Unforgettable Summer”, and positions Sharjah as a vibrant, family-friendly destination for both residents and international tourists.

A comprehensive summer experience

Organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) in collaboration with the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), the initiative involves over 1,000 retail outlets, major shopping centres, hotels, and tourist attractions.

The campaign is supported by the SCCI’s Shopping Malls Sector Business Group and multiple local government entities, reflecting the emirate’s coordinated push to drive economic and tourism growth through strategic seasonal programming.

60 days of entertainment and shopping

This year's edition features more than 75 family-friendly events, massive discounts of up to 75%, and an enticing prize pool exceeding Dh3 million.

Shoppers will have the chance to win gold bars, luxury gifts, high-value shopping vouchers, and instant rewards through six major raffle draws scheduled for July 10, 20, 31, August 10, 21, and the grand finale on September 1.

Meet ‘Shamsa’

Adding to the excitement is the introduction of “Shamsa”, a lively new mascot designed to appeal to children and families. Shamsa will feature in various activations throughout the campaign, helping to energise Sharjah’s summer season with cheerful interactions and themed appearances.

Spanning 19 destinations

Sharjah Summer Promotions 2025 offers activities across 19 summer destinations, including retail hubs, beaches, museums, and cultural landmarks. The lineup includes:

  • Entertainment programmes and stage shows

  • Educational workshops and weekly children's events

  • Summer camps and marine activities in Khorfakkan, in partnership with the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club

  • Initiatives hosted by Shurooq, Sharjah Museums Authority, Environment and Protected Areas Authority, and the Sharjah Art Foundation

Strategic vision

Commenting on the launch, Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the SCTDA, said: “Sharjah Summer Promotions 2025 represents a strategic milestone in our mission to elevate Sharjah as a comprehensive tourism and commercial destination. This campaign blends retail, culture, and leisure to create a multidimensional experience that resonates with residents and tourists alike.”

He emphasised that such initiatives are part of Sharjah’s broader strategy to enhance quality of life while supporting sustainable economic and social development. “Through our collaboration with government and private sector partners, we aim to make this campaign a model of innovation and community engagement,” he added.

Focused on community, commerce

Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, highlighted the campaign’s role in revitalising Sharjah’s retail and tourism sectors:

“Sharjah Summer Promotions is more than just a sales event. It’s a holistic community experience that merges shopping with interactive entertainment, reflecting evolving family preferences and visitor trends.”

He also noted the scale of this year’s campaign as a sign of Sharjah’s growing appeal as a seasonal and shopping destination, further reinforcing the Chamber’s commitment to economic vibrancy.

Hotel packages, dining deals

Hospitality is also front and centre this summer. More than 35 hotel packages from 23 participating hotels are being offered, including:

  • Discounted rates on stays, meals, and beverages

  • Free access to leading tourist attractions

  • Credit for hotel amenities like spas, pools, and recreation facilities

These deals provide a well-rounded experience for both residents planning staycations and visitors from abroad.

Smart engagement

This year, organisers introduced a smart mobile application and an official campaign website at www.shjsummer.ae, giving users:

  • Real-time updates on daily events, offers, and discount campaigns

  • Direct booking access to hotel packages and activities

  • Automatic entries into digital raffle draws with every registered purchase or booking

The integrated digital platform enhances accessibility and encourages greater user participation, making it easier than ever to enjoy and benefit from the two-month campaign.
