Dubai: Another mega sale is happening this month, and the UAE’s shopaholics are assured that there will be loads of bargains to snap up.

The second edition of the “3-Day Super Sale” will hit the shops across Dubai from November 23 to November 25. Participating retailers will be offering discounts of between 30 per cent and 90 per cent on a range of products, from clothing, jewellery, shoes and bags to electronics, homeware and toys.

The citywide discount bonanza comes six months after the last three-day super sale this year and just several days ahead of the festive shopping season, when consumers will again scour the shops for Christmas presents and decor.

And with the introduction of value-added tax (VAT), only less than two months away, it may just be the last chance for shoppers to bag some bargains without paying any extra levy.

Thousands of budget-savvy consumers flocked to the stores across the emirate during the previous shopping event in May.

The mega sale event is part of the emirate’s retail calendar and is one of the activities spearheaded by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of Dubai Tourism.

According to Saeed Al Falasi, executive director, retail and strategic alliances at DFRE, the shopping extravaganza is a significant date in Dubai’s annual retail calendar, as it puts Dubai’s diverse shopping offering under the spotlight.

“With this mega shopping event, consumers will find an array of discounts from retailers of all kinds so it’s the ideal time for everyone to visit their favourite retailers and reinforce Dubai’s position as a global shopping destination,” said Al Falasi.

In the upcoming sale, the participating retailers will be Harvey Nichols, Galeries Lafayette, Bloomingdale’s, Debenhams, Home Centre, ID Design, Reiss, Max Mara, Wojooh, Converse and many more.
