Group's Ramla Hypermarket at DIP spans 100,000 square feet
Dubai: The Abu Dhabi-based Ramla Group, which opened a hypermarket in Dubai Investment Park (DIP) on Thursday, will invest Dh300 million in expansion over the next five years, its executive director Rizab Abdullah said.
The group's Ramla Hypermarket at DIP spans 100,000 square feet. This is the group's first foray into the Dubai retail sector and comprises a nearly 40,000 square foot food section and 60,000 square foot department store. Nearly 50 per cent of the department store area has been earmarked for clothes.

"Our supermarket and department store projects are fast coming up in Sharjah Airport Free Zone [within its own staff accommodation facility to accommodate nearly 3,500 people] and also a new project in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi. The group is poised for a programmed expansion phase within the next five years which will include three other hypermarkets and 12 supermarkets in the UAE," Abdullah said.
