Dubai: Agaoglu, a leading Turkish real estate and construction company, opened its first international office on Shaikh Zayed Road in Dubai on Saturday, to welcome potential UAE and GCC investors to Turkey.

The Turkish government last year amended its Law of Reciprocity which effectively lifted the condition of reciprocity for foreign investors from owning property in Turkey. With its office in Dubai, Agaoglu becomes the first Turkish developer to operate in the UAE.

“Dubai is an international market. It’s a gateway to the whole world and it has proven itself as a very important market in the real estate business too,” Ali Agaoglu, Chairman and Founder of Agaoglu Group of Companies, told Gulf News.

“All investors from around the world have their office in Dubai and that’s why we truly believe it’s the right location for us to open a representative office in Dubai,” he added.

A high-profile delegation of Turkish officials, senior UAE government officials, industry leaders, attended the inauguration of the representative office on Addiyar Building on Shaikh Zayed Road near Safa Park.

Agaoglu has been witnessing huge interest in Turkish Real Estate projects from Gulf countries since the rules on foreign ownership were eased. The foreign sales volume has reached $350 million (Dh1.2 billion), based on figures from Agaoglu.
