The Big 5 set to have largest edition yet

Dubai: The Big 5, a building and construction show, is expected to have a strong 2014 edition as the UAE construction sector’s growth is likely to accelerate this year, according to a statement on Wednesday.

New and previously stalled projects are forging ahead, which will continue to bolster the upswing in 2013 into this year, according to consultancy Ventures Middle East. Awarded projects in the country are expected to reach $46 billion (Dh168.9 billion) this year.

The Big 5 will run from November 17 to 20 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
