Sharjah halves payment time to contractors

Sharjah is cutting the time it takes to pay contractors by half to 45 days in an effort to complete projects in the emirate more efficiently.

Sharjah Central Finance Department (SFD) announced on Monday it has introduced a new payment processing system that will cut the time it takes for the government to pay contractors.

“The new payment system [will] … speed up and simplify payment processes in order to complete projects in the emirate more effectively,” according to an emailed statement from the SFD.
