Dubai: The Damac Group has no plans to sell the Roberto Cavalli brand.

This was asserted by the Dubai based developer to counter speculation that it was planning to divest the brand associated with edgy fashion. In recent years, Damac has co-opted the Cavalli brand into some of its developments in Dubai.

A Damac Group spokesperson said: “Since acquiring the Roberto Cavalli business in 2019, Damac have invested significantly in the growth and success of the company.

"Roberto Cavalli is not for sale. As before, we remain interested in strategic partners who can add value to the business.”

At the time of the 2019 purchase, Damac has spoken about the possibilities of giving a fresh boost to the Cavalli brand, which had its heydays in the 1990s and 2010s.

Using the Cavalli motif, Damac Properties launched Damac Bay 1 at Dubai Harbour in January 2023. The project is scheduled for completion July 2027.
