UAE-based artists to submit 3-minute projection designs; Entries accepted from May 6-26
Dubai: Dubai-based real estate developer Emaar has announced a public call for design submissions to be projected on the Burj Khalifa, inviting UAE residents and local creative talents to participate in a limited-time competition.
The open call, running from May 6 to 26, 2025, seeks original video or animation projections that reflect innovation, creativity, and the cultural vibrancy of Dubai. The selected design will be displayed on the façade of the Burj Khalifa, currently the world’s tallest building. The winning participant will be awarded Dh100,000.
To be eligible, submissions must include dynamic, three-minute projection content that adheres to specific technical requirements. These include resolution and formatting guidelines compatible with the building’s projection mapping system.
Full technical specifications and terms are available on the official Burj Khalifa website. Submissions must be sent to opencall@emaar.ae, accompanied by a short concept description explaining the inspiration and story behind the design.
The initiative marks a rare opportunity for creatives to contribute visual content to one of the most visible landmarks globally, offering a high-profile platform for local talent.
