Dubai Festival City has unveiled its Dh6 billion Marsa Al Khor project, a 245,000 square metre waterfront complex similar to some of the world's finest lifestyle locations, including Cape Town's waterfront and Sydney Harbour.

Marsa Al Khor office and residential venture, between Al Garhoud Bridge and the new 12-lane Ras Al Khor crossing, is due for phased completion from 2007.

Omar Al Futtaim, chief executive of the Al Futtaim Group, said, "We are delivering yet another world-class project to enhance the new Dubai lifestyle offering. This project will raise the bar for mixed-use commercial and residential developments and compliments the long-term vision of General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defence."

Creating an integrated corniche community for up to 14,000 occupants, the Marsa Al Khor development will have multi-use towers, creekside offices, a central park, waterfront homes, a 300-room boutique hotel, offices and several cafes and restaurants.
