We all love exclusivity, don't we? Be it a limited-edition car or a home with bespoke interiors, it seems it's everyone's dream to own something unique. And for those with the means to make their dreams come true in the luxury real-estate market, Dubai is full of surprises. Property takes a look at a dream home, a four-bedroom duplex penthouse in Bahar 6, Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), which is very desirable — and it's for sale.

A key to exclusivity is having something special, and this penthouse ticks that box. It is the only penthouse in the entire JBR area to have an indoor covered pool — and a sizeable one at that. The pool area is air conditioned and the glass roof allows natural light to flow in." Apparently, no other penthouse was granted the approval from the developer to make such a radical change to the original layout," says Craig Hutchins, listing manager at SPF Realty — the agency marketing the property. "The ambient lights, water features and view of the ocean would definitely make you want to lie in the pool all day."

Living in a different league

Inside the penthouse, what hits you first is the space on offer; next the stunning views command your attention. Stretching out before you is Dubai Marina on one side and Palm Jumeirah on the other. "Penthouse living has always been classified in a different league altogether and cannot be compared to villas or mansions that have been completely redone," says Craig.

"The beauty of penthouses is the availability of space, and being at the summit of a tower, penthouses offer you breathtaking views." Penthouses in JBR in their standard form used to feature marble and parquet flooring. Craig says the owner of this property chose to revamp it with a fusion of themes. It now has an entirely different look. Inside, white marble floors reflect LED lights, which illuminate the living room and bring the contemporary paintings on the walls to life. The open-plan kitchen is one of the highlights of the home. The appliances have been sourced from the German brand, Gaggenau. The adjacent dining area is spacious enough to accommodate a large dining table. While the penthouse itself has a lot to offer, its great location adds to its appeal — and its value. JBR is a much sought-after place to live in Dubai. As well as offering easy access to the shore, it has a wide variety of restaurants and cafés within walking distance, designer shops, as well as medical services, sports facilities, play areas for children and ample parking. If you want to live the dream, then this is the place to be!
