Dubai: More than 65 per cent of office space at The Business Village has been leased.
The property, located in a prime location near the Al Maktoum Bridge and overlooking the Dubai Creek, is owned by the Mohammad Bin Rashed Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises.
"The Business Village offers a new concept to boost business by providing an ideal growth platform that allows entrepreneurs to form strategic partnerships and take advantages of advisory services and training courses," said Abdul Baset Al Janahi, CEO.
Small businesses
Entities which have leased space at the property include small businesses engaged in general trading, engineering consultancy and real estate services as well as others in law, finance and in the F&B line.
There is also the German Business Council in Dubai and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade.
"A number of government organisations are also planning a move, including the Department of Economic Development, Foreign Investment Office, Dubai Shopping Festival and Dubai Export Development Corporation," said Ahmad Al Hashemi, deputy director in Business Village.
Mutual benefit
The Business Village has the latest in telecom infrastructure and offers tenants the choice to choose between du and etisalat. It also provides business centre facilities for conferences and meeting rooms.
Events are not someone you don't know, but new friends whom you haven't met yet!"
Another initiative from the Club to ease the way for start-ups is through alliances with other business councils or industry groupings for the mutual benefit of all.
"There is a big misconception about Arab culture and though the Club we are able to promote the right image to foreign businessmen and women."
On a parallel track, the Club is working on raising the profile of female entrepreneurs within its ranks.
"The women's division in the Club has been a key part of our strategy from Day 1, and we are thrilled that it has finally materialised," said Mohammad.
